Connections: Ensure the machine is OFF before plugging it in. Connect the electrode holder to the positive (+) terminal and the earth clamp to the negative (-) terminal for standard "Reverse Polarity" welding (DCEP), which is common for most electrodes.
Safety: Always wear a welding helmet, gloves, and protective clothing to guard against UV radiation, sparks, and heat. Ensure the work area is well-ventilated to avoid inhaling toxic fumes.
Setup: Attach the earth clamp to a clean, bare metal surface on your workpiece. Insert a suitable electrode into the holder.
Welding: Switch the machine ON at the back. Adjust the current dial based on your material thickness and electrode diameter—a common starting point for 2.5 mm rods is roughly 60–90 Amps.
Striking an Arc: Gently "scratch" or "tap" the electrode tip against the metal to strike the arc, then maintain a small gap of about 1.5 mm while moving steadily in one direction.

Troubleshooting Lights

Power: Green light indicates the machine is receiving power and is ready for use.
O.C (Over-Current / Overload): If this light turns on, the machine has likely exceeded its duty cycle and overheated. Stop welding and keep the fan running for 5–10 minutes until the light goes out.
